Sometimes known as MrKlingon,
Joel Anderson, who, despite rumors to the contrary, is not a Klingon. He is however:
* A Software Engineer who has worked in software development and the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. He still remembers the "good old days" when computing online meant dialing with a rotary phone, using his VIC 20.
* A science fiction enthusiast, Joel may occasionally need to be reminded that he is a human, from Earth.
* A language hobbyist who enjoys building programs that use science fiction languages, especially those found in the worlds of Star Trek.
The Sword Project is the CrossWire Bible Society's free Bible software project. Its purpose is to create cross-platform open-source tools, covered by the GNU General Public License, that allow programmers and Bible societies to write new Bible software more quickly and easily. Its secondary purpose is to amass a library of Bibles and other Scripture-related texts that can be used by all SWORD Project-based software. The Sword project library includes the KLV - in fact the full KLV was developed to provide the Crosswire folks with a "Klingon Bible" to demonstrate just how universal their platform was. Klingon version aside, I find the Sword project an invaluable resource doing the serious side of the Bible studies that make up "A Klingon Word from the Word".
Berean BerBible Freeware for Non-Techies - a free, lightweight Bible program for Windows that incorporates multiple Bible translations (yes, including the KLV). For fast lookups, and word counts it is tremendous!
